A highlight of this new partnership is the introduction of wristbands, which will be sold for the first time as a voluntary “virtual entry fee.” For just 10 CHF per wristband, people make a small but significant contribution to the future of rowing in Switzerland. The proceeds will not only support the event’s execution but also benefit Swiss rowers who are supported by the Sports Aid Foundation. The wristbands will be available from Wednesday, June 25, at the beverage and merchandising sales points on-site at the Rotsee. Buyers of the wristbands will also be able to participate in a raffle, with attractive prizes available on-site and a grand prize at the end of the event.

This partnership is especially important for Swiss rowers, who rely on the support of the foundation. This is confirmed by the recently retired Olympic bronze medalist Roman Röösli, who emphasizes that the Sports Aid Foundation was a crucial pillar in his career and helped him win his medal in Paris. This initiative supports rowing at all levels, from juniors to elite athletes, and enables the safeguarding of the sport’s future through donations such as those raised from wristband sales.
