From 26–28 June 2026, the legendary Rotsee in Lucerne becomes the stage for a unique premiere:
the Masters Trophy presented by Euro Masters Regatta.

For the first time, Masters athletes will compete within the official program of the LUCERNE REGATTA, one of the most traditional rowing events in the world, held on the famous Rotsee for more than 120 years.

🔹 The format

- Mixed Quadruple Sculls (4x)
- 2 women + 2 men per crew
- 1000 m race distance
- Only 12 crews worldwide
- Heats and finals as part of the international regatta program

✨ The experience

More than just a race – crews will enjoy the full Rotsee World Cup atmosphere, including:

- Access to the regatta venue with world-class racing
- Catering at the regatta centre and a pre-final dinner in the city of Lucerne with special guests
- Entry for the Euro Masters Regatta 2026 in Munich (one 4x entry and four 1x entries)
- The unique Rotsee grandstand and spectator area
- Thousands of rowing fans and the energy of an iconic venue

The LUCERNE REGATTA attracts around 800 athletes from more than 40 nations and thousands of spectators every year.

Rowing — now & then 🚣‍♀️

Two moments on the Rotsee. Same sport. A very different era. Nearly 70 years apart.

While digging through our archive, we came across a newspaper clipping from 1955 describing the women’s race at the LUCERNE REGATTA as a “special attraction”. The race distance was only 750 m, while the men raced 2000 m. At the time, reports described women’s rowing as being defined less by power and strength and more by “grace and elegance.”

A lot has changed since then. Lucerne has been part of that journey: 1974 – the first World Rowing Championships including women were held on the Rotsee.

A tribute to the women who rowed before us — and to those shaping the sport today.
